26pigs - Who Are We?
26pigs is owned and operated by Com1
UK Ltd. At last count our staff list ran to 5 people, Chris and Gaz, who
are brothers from London, England, Ajay, our programmer, and a couple
of groupie hangers-on. We work on a 'Hare and Tortoise' philosophy of
slow and steady as required by our bank balance.
We started life in January 1998 with
the Comic Library and in those days we went under
the name Plug - after that gorgeous hunk from The Beano's, The Bash Street
Kids.
We had a dream to build a comic heaven
where anyone can come and buy and sell comics of any description. We're
getting there but these things take time so please bare with us as we
are adding new features which use cutting edge Internet technology and
nothing in this business works first time.
We really hope you like what we're
doing here and please write in with any suggestions.

Comic Store
The 26pigs Comic Store is a fully searchable
database of Comics, Annuals and Books sold by various individuals and
shops.
The database can be searched by category,
day, month, year, 'shop'*, title, key word
and edition numbers. And the results can be ordered by date, price high/low,
edition numbers and titles.
All items in the Comic Store
are for sale and depending on the Shop, can be purchased by cheque,
electronic payment transfer eg. Paypal.com / NoChex.com
or in the case of items purchased from 26pigs, by an on site Credit Card
payment.
26pigs levies a charge of 25p per item
sold by the Shop's on 26pigs to sell their items. We collect this charge
by recording the number of items sold through the check-out procedure
so we would appreciate your co-operation in following all the steps in
the buying process.
26pigs gaurentees all sales on the
site if the correct procedure for purchasing has been followed.

is a 'Shop'?
We use the term 'shop' to describe any 26pigs Seller who has filled in
the required 'Shop' registration.
A 'Shop' will, in most cases be, a comic shop, dealer or private individual
with a large number of items to sell, and who is profficient in the business
of selling by Mail Order.
