Because there will always be first time 'Sellers' it is not always possible
to read comments left by other 'Buyers'. Also there may come a time when
a question needs to be asked about a particular item for sale. For these
reasons you can 'Ask the Seller a question' about any product you are
interested in by clicking on the link on the 'Product Details' page.
When you click on the 'Ask the Seller a Question' you will be taken to
a form that you should fill out in full.
When you submit this form your question is added to the bottom of the
'Product Description' page where you first clicked on the link and an e-mail
informing the 'Seller' that a question has been asked about that particular
item will be sent.
When the 'Seller' has answered your question you will be informed by
e-mail with a link to the product page where you will find the answer
at the bottom of the page.
If you are asking yourself "why can't I just e-mail the Seller?"
go here.
Prospective 'Buyers' have the opportunity to ask questions about the
items for sale. This enables you to be reassured that the item is as specified
and also about the 'Seller' you are thinking of buying from.
You can also check the credentials of the 'Seller' and see any comments left.
Questions: For the 'Seller'
If a prospective Buyer asks you a 'Question' you will be informed by
e-mail. When this happens you should log-on to 26pigs to access your 'My
26pigs'.
At the top of My 26pigs you will find a section titled 'Things to do'.
In here you will find a link 'You have been asked [a number of] questions
about your products'. Click on this link to see the questions asked and
the form to fill in to give your answer.
If you are unsure what product the question has been asked about then
locate the item by using the PID code given with the question by searching
for it in your shop.
Time should be taken when responding and answers given in full. Answer
the questions politely as the Buyer will be less likely to purchase from
you if they feel you are not being helpful. You should also be able to
minimise the amount of questions you receive by making sure all details
such as the postal arrangements, payment terms and the product description
are clear and unambiguous.
