1 UK Ltd. was registered with Companies House in August 1997, our
Company No. is 3419907.
We are a 'Web-centric'
business meaning that all our business is geared towards the Internet
and the Web. We have been on-line since November 1997 when our first web
site Housingnet went live.
Housingnet
is a UK Housing information site covering Private, Social and Student
Housing and is currently receiving around 100,000 hits per month on 1800
static and dynamic pages.
26pigs went live in
it's original form in May 1999. Back then it consisted of the Comic Library,
the largest resource of UK Comic information found on the web. Our goal
has always been the site that you see developing before you today but
these things don't come cheap so we bided our time until we knew we could
do it the way we originally planned.
We also have a Back
and Spine resource site, Spine Inc. which has
been on-line since July 1998 and is currently receiving around 500 hits
per week. Spine Inc. is an evolving site that we add to when time permits.
We have worked hard
to make a name for ourselves on the web and hope you enjoy the results.

Terms and Conditions
The Contract Between Us
Com 1 UK Ltd must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods
that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been
received Com 1 UK Ltd will confirm that your order has been accepted by
sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form.
Com 1 UK Ltd's acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally
binding contract between us.
Price
- The price payable for goods is as set out in our website.
- You will be required
to pay extra for delivery and it might not be possible for us to deliver
to some locations.
Withdrawal By You From The Contract
- You may withdraw
your order for goods at any time up to the end of the seventh working
day after you make your order even if you have then already received
the goods. You do not need to give Com 1 UK Ltd any reason for withdrawing
your order nor will you have to pay any penalty.
- To withdraw your
order you must notify Com 1 UK Ltd in writing at the address set out
in the Com 1 UK Ltd returns section of this Web site.
- If you have received
the goods before you withdraw your order then you must send them back
to the Com 1 UK Ltd contact address at your own cost and risk. If you
withdraw your order but Com 1 UK Ltd has already processed the goods
for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by
you and you must send the goods back to Com 1 UK Ltd at the Com 1 UK
Ltd contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
- Once you have notified
Com 1 UK Ltd that you are withdrawing your order, any sum debited to
Com 1 UK Ltd from your credit card will be re-credited to your account
as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order PROVIDED
THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by Com 1
UK Ltd in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
Availability of Goods You Order
If Com 1 UK Ltd has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by
you, any sum debited by Com 1 UK Ltd from your credit card will be re-credited
to your account and Com 1 UK Ltd will notify you by email at the address
given by you in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible
and in any event within 30 days of your order. Com 1 UK Ltd will not be
obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Delivery Of Goods To You
- Com 1 UK Ltd will
deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give Com 1 UK Ltd
for delivery at the time you make your order.
- Delivery will be
made as soon as possible after your order is accepted and in any event
within 30 days of your order.
- You will become
the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered
to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your
own risk and Com 1 UK Ltd will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
Liability For Goods Sold By Com 1 UK Ltd
- If the goods Com1 UK Ltd delivers are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective
or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, Com 1 UK Ltd shall have
no liability to you unless you notify Com 1 UK Ltd in writing at the
Com 1 UK Ltd contact address of the problem within 10 working days of
the delivery of goods in question.
- If you do not receive
goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered
them, Com 1 UK Ltd shall have no liability to you unless you notify
Com 1 UK Ltd in writing at the Com 1 UK Ltd contact address of the problem
within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
- If you notify a
problem to Com 1 UK Ltd under this condition, Com 1 UK Ltd's only obligation
will be, at its option:-
- to make good
any shortage or non-delivery;
- to replace
or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or
- to refund to
you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever
way Com 1 UK Ltd chooses.
- Com 1 UK Ltd will
not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage
arising out of any problem you notify to Com 1 UK Ltd under this condition
and Com 1 UK Ltd shall have no liability to pay any money to you by
way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you
for the goods in question under paragraph (c) above.
- Nothing in this
condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as
a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in
any way to exclude or limit Com 1 UK Ltd's liability to you for any
death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
Liability For Goods
Offered By Private Sellers
- Com1 UK Ltd have
not seen or evaluated goods being offered for private sale on this site.
We also have not confirmed the accuracy or reliability of statements
made with respect to any goods offered for private sale, and our services
in connection with maintaining this site do not include such responsibilities.
- The sellers are
solely responsible for the descriptions and price estimates of the goods
and any statements concerning the value, characteristics, quality, authenticity,
condition, title or other information about the goods.
- We shall have no
responsibility or liability with respect to inaccurate or incomplete
information or otherwise with respect to the acts or omissions of sellers,
and as between the buyer and us, the buyer agrees to assume such risks.
- Except as otherwise
specifically stated or required by applicable law, all goods are sold
AS-IS. All warranties, express or implied, including without limitation,
the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose are
specifically disclaimed by Com 1 UK Ltd and the seller, except to the
extent that any implied warranty of title is imposed on the seller by
law.
Force Majeure
Com 1 UK Ltd shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver
goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect
to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond
its reasonable control.
Invalidity
If any part of these conditions is unenforceable (including any provision
in which Com 1 UK Ltd excludes its liability to you) the enforceability
of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Governing Law
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance
with English law, and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve
any disputes between us.
Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions, together with the current Com 1 UK Ltd Web
site prices, delivery details and Com 1 UK Ltd contact details, set out
the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you
by Com 1 UK Ltd. These terms and conditions cannot be varied except in
writing signed by the directors of Com 1 UK Ltd. In particular nothing
said by any sales person on behalf of Com 1 UK Ltd should be understood
as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation
about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by Com 1 UK
Ltd. Com 1 UK Ltd shall have no liability for any such representation
being untrue or misleading.

firmly believe that in order to succeed we will need to gain the trust
of our visitors so that they feel comfortable with their online experience.
We have therefore provided this guide to describe to you what information
we take from you, what we will do with it and how this may affect you.
What information
does 26 Pigs take from you ?
When registering for
26 pigs you will be asked for several personal details (Personally Identifiable
Information - PII). This will include the following.

- Address
- Postcode
- E-mail Address
- Telephone Number
What will we do
with it?
This information will
be used to allow you to buy and sell online with us and to provide a more
personalised experience. We aim to provide you with a service tailored
to your specific requirements so if a collectible appears for sale in
which you have previously expressed an interest then we want you to be
the first to know about it and will send you an email to this effect.
We may also ask for
your phone number which may be used in the event of a problem with your
order. In certain circumstances it may be passed onto the courier responsible
for delivering any purchases you may have made with us.
None of the PII collected
from you is for sale to third party organisations. We do not intend to
make details of our customers available to others but if for some reason
our policy changes with regard to this you will be informed and will have
an opportunity to decline.
Com 1 UK Ltd will
carry out studies of information received from its users but this information
will be anonymous and will only include information concerning the area
in which you live for example which will not be able to identify you personally.
This will help us to create aggregated data which will allow us to target
our service at a particular area or group.
We may also use the
information we collect to notify you about important changes to 26pigs
or to update you with regard to the availability of items you have placed
on your 'wants list'. If you would rather not receive this information,
please send an e-mail to never@26pigs.com and we will amend our records
accordingly.
Cookies
We use 'cookies' which
are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer's
hard drive. This information will enable you to maintain the items in
your shopping basket between visits and will also be used by the site
designers to better understand the movement of traffic around 26pigs and
