I'm a fan of Judy which you feature in your library. Judy was my favourite comic and there is one character you have not included on this page. She was a character featured reularly in the early days of Judy, often on the front page. Her name was Sandra Wilson and she started out as a pupil of a ballet school on a secret island. She had lots of adventures finding princesses in hiding, saving her ballet teacher from ritual sacrifice, before graduating to become the star of the Edmund Lawrence Ballet Company. The good thing about her was she was a good role model as she was brave and resourceful. She was phased out by the end of the 60s. The drawings for this strip which were brilliant were usually done by the artist who drew General Jumbo in the Dandy - don't know his name.

I've just seen your image of Sandra - I preferred her when she was Sandra of the Secret Ballet though. Her teacher's name was Nina Sierra and there was also a spooky guy called Boris Rothbart who hypnotised the dancers. Her friend was called Rose. I'm not really obsessive... - Joan Ormrod
