Suddenly, he had a bright idea and he called over Wally and Sir Brian. They then huddled together and began talking in a low whisper. Polar Jim, Nordean and Peregrine Penguin had no idea of what they were whispering.

After the whispering was over Barnaby announced, "Wally and Sir Brian will each serve for six months as King!" "Oh, what a great idea!" cried Nordean. "Nordean will be Queen because she has been so helpful!" he added.

Nordean gave a little squeal of delight. A week later, she and Wally were crowned in the magnificent Snow Palace. They each wore a beautiful crown made of snow crystals and rich satin cloaks edged with ermine. "Ooh, just think I shall go through this ceremony once again in six months!" whispered Nordean. Wally did laugh. Peregrine Penguin was made a Minister of State and that made him feel very happy indeed, as well as very important!

During the coronation Barnaby remembered something and he whispered to Polar Jim, "Do you realise spring has arrived?" "We must return home to the Signor and the ice-cream/ice lolly factory!" whispered Polar Jim. So they bade farewell to their friends and promised to visit them again. Then Barnaby and Polar Jim climbed into a sleigh that was drawn by husky dogs, and made their way towards the shore.
