Roy of the Rovers

"Skipper Roy Race and his pals of Melchester Rovers, had won their fourth round cup-tie. Although at half-time a sinister intruder had stolen right-winger Dick Stokes' boots from the dressing-room.

Despite denials, Dick believed that it was the work of Buster Brown, Rovers' practical joker. Roy knew that team spirit would suffer, so he devised a plan to convince Dick that Buster had nothing to do with the mysterious theft."
